24 Days to a New Me!

Welp……………… here we go!

I am in confession mode!

I work my butt off in the gym.  It is NOT EASY and I love every second of it! I feel great after a tough workout. The satisfaction comes from knowing that I just lifted more than the time before… or that I just burned a million calories… or that I can now do a pull up when I couldn’t do a pull up two weeks ago… or that I was able to encourage another CrossFitter to go the extra mile to get better, or that my little girl is proud of me for running and lifting like a mad-woman!

There are countless reasons why i love this sport!

However, when it comes to food, I struggle to find the satisfaction in challenging myself to change my eating habits for LIFE! I just find it………… hard.

I find it a bazillion times harder than any of the “nasty girls” workouts and harder than any of the HERO WOD’s.  In talking to friends and clients over the years, I know that I am not alone.

For me, the time to change is NOW.  Actually, it has already started.  Just like anything else, it is a process.  But, I need an additional challenge to whip my butt into gear.

I am going to take part in the 24 day challenge that we are hosting, beginning October 29, 2012.  I need the accountability and I want to lead by example.

Folks, if you choose to sign up, I think that is awesome!  However, I encourage you to pray about it.  I encourage you to talk to your family about it.  You will need help and encouragement… I believe that something like this could change a life!  Essentially, we will be breaking our addiction.  Yes, addiction to sugar.

I will be holding you accountable, daily! I hope you will be there to do the same for me.

Iron Sharpens Iron
Proverbs 27:17

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor;
If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them get up.
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But, how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
