What Is Crossfit?

bailey hand standAs a married couple, we have fallen in love all over again. Yes, with each other, but also with CrossFit. When people ask, “What is CrossFit?” We tell them that it is a constantly varied group workout performed at high intensity using functional movements. It’s scalable for everyone ~ every age and fitness level. CrossFit training methods are perfect for those who are trying to lose weight, shed fat, get stronger, run faster, run further, look good, feel better, lift heavier, rehabilitate, gain balance and flexibility — you name it!

Not only is CrossFit a great system for our physical body, but it also trains our mind and our soul. As the commercial explains, “CrossFit is raw and emotional…” This sport of fitness parallels our everyday life; during workouts you will find yourself flat on your back or maybe proud of yourself and proud of your teammates. Friends will encourage you and lift you up! You’ll feel stressed and anxious and then thrilled with excitement, all in the same day! There will be decisions to make and new things to try. There will never be a dull moment…

Such is life.

The experience you will get at East 80 CrossFit will be like nothing else you can achieve on your own. You will be a part of something bigger than yourself. We race against the clock and we have healthy competition among friends.
