I’ve been thinking…
I am so excited about the growth of our gym. As the owners/operators of East80 CrossFit, Rich and I want to make sure that you have the ultimate experience every time you arrive for a workout! However, it’s not just a workout… if you have been to our gym then you know that. It is an experience.
Keeping that in mind, I want to remind you all of something very important!
It’s not WHAT you do but HOW YOU DO IT!
We are always presented with a choice, whether we recognize it or not. The choice is ours.
You can skip the mobility part of your warm up and maybe just go through the motions. Or not. You can shave reps and rounds during the WOD. Or not. You can choose to ignore the person next to you when you know that they need some encouragement. Or not. The choice is always ours…
The same applies to our daily grind… We have a choice to yell at our sassy toddler (egh hem) or remain calm and find a different avenue of parenting. We have a choice to eat the piece of cake staring us in the face or maybe we should just turn and walk away.
The rigors of physical training are implicated in our daily life. When we train our physical body and put ourselves through a killer WOD, we are also training our integrity, our passion, our persistence, our determination. By busting our tail in the gym, we will find ourselves better equipped to handle the challenges that life will present.
It’s not what you do, but how you do it. Live it!
